The Shetland Islands, situated at the crossroads between Scandinavia, Iceland and Scotland, remain one of the UK's best kept secrets. The archipelago's natural, as well as cultural heritage will dazzle you with its beauty. From Fair Isle to the south to the Muckle Flugga in the North, over 100 islands are bound to quench your thirst for adventure!
Cheyne House is a self catering house situated 8 miles north of Lerwick and is ideally located for exploring both North and South of the Island. A comfortable spacious home from home, where your comfort and needs come first.
There is a little pebble beach to explore with local otters currently seen passing if you have the time to watch and wait. In the spring and summer birds nest and fish at the little beach, seals pass by just being a bit curious and then bob down and swim on.
The land around Cheyne House is not grazed during the summer months so there are a great variety of wild flowers to be seen.
Cheyne House has big floor to ceiling windows in the open plan kitchen/lounge which allow for endless sea views down the voe and easy wildlife watching. It is always dramatic and scenic no matter what time of year. You can also just draw the curtains and get the log burner going for those that want to explore Shetland in the winter months.
